Usually, the people in a Supply Chain department are analytical, pro-active & result-oriented.
We have open positions with a Financial focus in the Business Analysis and Reporting (BAR) department. You will be responsible for monthly analysis of business performance, reporting to management and/or financial reporting up line as information is ultimately published externally.
With a more commercial focus positions are being offered in the Sales and Trading department, where you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial teams with regular and ad-hoc market analysis. During the assignment you will use and develop analytical and interpersonal skills, learn more about our business lines and working in ExxonMobil.

Chemical Supply Chain typical profile and open positions
Typical Supply chain candidates would have a technical background with interest/experience in applying this knowledge in commercial situations. Candidates should be interested in industrial problem solving, have strong analytical skills and possess a commercial acumen. They should be able to deal in a flexible way with changing priorities. In addition they are able to negotiate the best solution for all involved parties. Chemical products are generally split by "solids" (such as polymers) or "liquids" (such as solvents).
Chemicals Supply Chain positions are divided in 2 main categories:
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) roles deal with the areas of reconciling sales forecasts with production and then managing inventories to maintain agreed service levels.
Typical role is Supply Planner of products manufactured in the region (Europe, Middle East & Africa, EMEAF) where you will be responsible for:
• Conducting supply demand balance
• Supporting demand management
• Facilitating management of inventory
Logistics & Distribution (L&D) positions manage various warehouses, trucking companies, shipping lines (i.e. our logistics service providers) and steward them to ensure that they meet our safety, security, environmental and other requirements. In addition the members of L&D department cooperate closely with the Procurement representatives on contracting strategies.
Typical role is EMEAF Overland Advisor for Liquid or Solids products where you will be responsible for:
• Monitoring and overseeing the performance and capabilities of the service providers
• Engaging the Procurement interface for contracting of services
• Identifying improvement opportunities and implementing them
Based on the interview evaluation and your skills, you may be offered a suitable position either in S&OP or L&D. Both provide a great opportunity to work cross-functionally, learn about ExxonMobil and they are also connected to the outside world of suppliers and customers.
• MSc University education (Chemical engineering, Civil & Industrial engineering, Supply Chain management, Business engineering, Commercial engineering, …)
o Master education is a must (bachelor education is not sufficient)
• Young graduate and/or max. 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Fluency in English required
• Solid command of Dutch and/or French is a plus
• Effective leadership skills, including influencing with no direct formal authority
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills (verbal & written)
• Well organized with an ability to anticipate, identify and resolve potential issues
• Customer focus, ability to learn and adapt to change quickly
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with people from various backgrounds in developing innovative solutions of highest general interest
